Sobraon Park - Site Overview

Sobraon Park is a completed development situated on the northern edge of the Cathedral City of Lincoln, nestled behind the original Sobraon Barracks.  The location is convenient for both the uphill and central areas of Lincoln, offering a choice of the modern town centre or the charm of the historical Bailgate and castle quarter for shops and general facilities.  Close by, Burton Road offers local shops to serve daily needs and in the surrounding areas you will find an array of schools, services and public leisure facilities.

The Sobraon area is steeped in history.  Sobraon Barracks was largely constructed in the late 1870's, providing a home for the North Lincolnshire Regiment.  Its name is taken from the Battle of Sobraon, which took place in India on 10th February 1846.  Even today, a military presence still exists at the Sobraon Barracks, servicing the Territorial Army and cadet activity.

Lindum Homes have regenerated the area which had laid derelict and disused for many years and has built over fifty properties for private sale on the northern part of the site with access via Breedon Drive.

At the heart of the site we have created a landscaped public area containing mature trees and plants, offering a relaxing and tranquil environment, which the adjoining properties overlook.

The development consists of two bedroom bungalows, two, three and four bedroom townhouses and three, four and five bedroom detached houses all benefiting from individual gardens, parking and/or garages.
